Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I'm Jenelle.

I'm a licensed counselor and Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, and I built Soul Centered Integrative Counseling to be the kind of practice I always wanted as a therapist, and that I would have wanted as a client.

Why I do this work.

I started my practice because I believe people deserve to feel genuinely supported and truly seen, especially as they navigate their deepest feelings and most difficult experiences. In a world full of expectations and judgment, it can be hard to stay connected to who you really are.

I wanted to create a space where people can slow down, be understood, and safely explore the parts of themselves and the beliefs that may no longer serve them. It's also a place to gently quiet the brain's anxious, depressive, and intrusive messages, while reconnecting with what matters most, who you are at your core, and building a life worth living.

What working with me feels like.

Working with me feels like a space where you can slow down and be yourself. It's not a stuffy, overly clinical vibe. It often feels more like a conversation over coffee, with room for humor and lightness, while still allowing for depth and meaningful change. You do not have to have the right words or have everything figured out. We start where you are.

This is a client-led process. You set the pace and direction, and I follow alongside you, helping guide and support as you explore the changes you want to make. Our work is unique to you and based on where you are right now, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Together we look at what is not working anymore and figure out how to start doing things differently in a way that feels realistic and not overwhelming.

A big part of therapy is building a different relationship with your thoughts, your feelings, and what really matters to you. It can feel a little like yoga for your brain, gently adding movement to things that have felt stuck. My hope is that therapy becomes something you actually look forward to on your calendar, and that you leave feeling more grounded, clear, and like yourself.

My approach.

My work is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brainspotting, tailoring each session to your unique needs to support deeper emotional processing and lasting, meaningful change.

Different people, different seasons of life, and different struggles call for different tools. What stays the same is how we work together: collaboratively, honestly, and with genuine respect for who you already are. Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It's about understanding who you already are and learning how to live in a way that feels authentic and aligned.

On the Gulf Coast, and beyond.

I began my career in a group practice in Pennsylvania in 2017 and opened my own private practice in 2023. Today I live and work on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

All of my sessions are virtual, which means I can support clients across Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey through secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Many are people I've walked alongside for years, and others are just beginning. Wherever you are in those states, we can meet from wherever feels most comfortable to you.

Outside the therapy room.

Outside of sessions, you can usually find me at a mahjong table. I'm part of a local Gulf Coast league and love the mix of strategy, intuition, and connection it brings. It's also where my interest in performance-based psychology shows up in a fun, everyday way.

I love to read, especially historical fiction, non-fiction, and psychological thrillers. You'll also find me working out or doing yoga, being a tourist in my own town, and looking for ways to give back to the Gulf Coast community. Spending time with friends and family is a big part of my life. I value connection, creativity, and slowing down enough to actually enjoy where you are.
